How listings are created
To help neighbours find local shops, Zolo lists Abu Dhabi restaurants, food stores and mess kitchens before they join. An unclaimed listing is built from public information: map listings (the name, location, opening hours and phone number) and the shop's own printed or published menu, typed in by Zolo's team.
Unverified and ✓ Verified by the owner
Until the owner confirms it, a listing shows "Unverified — sourced from public info". It shows "✓ Verified by the owner" with the date once the owner has claimed it in the Zolo Merchant app, or has confirmed its menu and prices with Zolo's team by phone, WhatsApp, a visit or email. The badge is never sold and is given for nothing else.
Prices on listings
Each shop page says when its prices were last updated and whether the owner published them or Zolo typed them from the shop's menu. Prices set by the shop are indicative where marked; the shop confirms the final price. Prices not updated for 90 days are flagged as possibly out of date, and after 180 days they are hidden until the shop confirms them.
Sample menus
A shop without a menu on Zolo may show a sample menu of typical dishes. It is always labelled as a sample, never presented as the shop's own menu, and never priced.
Owners: claim, correct or remove
The owner can claim the listing in the Zolo Merchant app, signing in with the shop's number, and then correct it and manage the menu and prices themselves. An owner who would rather not be listed, or wants something corrected without claiming, can ask at zolo.ae/takedown. A person reviews every request and we answer within 48 hours.
Anyone: report incorrect info
Anyone can tell us about a wrong price, an out-of-date menu, wrong opening hours, location or phone number, a closed shop, or a listing that shows the wrong business, with Report incorrect info on the shop page or at zolo.ae/report. No account is needed. We check reports within 48 hours and correct the listing when the report is right.
Photos and logos
Dish pictures on unclaimed listings are Zolo's own illustrations; once a shop claims its listing, it can add its own photos. We never use other platforms' photos or logos without consent. If you see one, tell us at zolo.ae/takedown and we remove it.
